Auburn mauls SE Louisiana

AUBURN, ALABAMA - Marquis Daniels scored 22 points and Auburn held Southeastern Louisiana to under 30 percent shooting for the game in a 77-47 win Monday night. <br>

It was the 299th win for the Tigers at Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum. <br>
<br>
Marco Killingsworth added 15 points for Auburn. Derrick Bird scored 10, and Kyle Davis pulled down 12 rebounds to go with his eight points. <br>
<br>
Neither team shot well in the first half, as Auburn (3-1) never trailed but led only 28-18 at the break. The Tigers shot only 41 percent in the opening period but Southeastern Louisiana (0-3) was even worse, making only 25 percent of their first-half shots and 28 percent for the game. <br>
<br>
Auburn heated up after halftime, shooting 62 percent over the final 20 minutes to put the Lions away. <br>
<br>
Auburn dominated inside, winning the rebounding battle 48-22, but turned the ball over 20 times. Southeastern Louisiana was unable to capitalize on the Tigers' mistakes, scoring only 12 points off the turnovers. <br>
<br>
Terry West and Amir Abdur-Rahim scored 14 apiece for Southeastern Louisiana.
