O.K., WHAT NOW?

Can you imagine what our President is going through now? The administration has worked for many weeks to gain approval from a partisan, political and unstatesmanlike Senate. He could count on the House of Representatives to support him but the likes of "Do Nothing Daschle" stalled the Senate until he read the polls (as the Liberals always do) and he saw he had to change.

Did you see the radical change in attitude of the Daschle-ites after the House started coming around? Did you witness the tirade of Daschle in the well of the Senate Chamber when he was "appalled" by the way the President was pushing the need to take out Saddam Hussein? Then, did you see the change this week when he was forced to support this issue?

The President is exemplifying the best of America. The position he is taking is bold, aggressive and necessary to protect our national interest and the interest of our children's future.

What happens next? My fear is that the terrorists have infiltrated this country and at the first show of aggression on the part of the United States against Iraq, the terrorists will ignite the war in and on America.

Where will they hit us? Depending on what weapons they have amassed and perfected, we can expect that they will take out as many innocent Americans as possible with one blow. Expect them to hit us in major cities around the country. Is Atlanta vulnerable? Don't think for one single second that this area is immune.

One small nuclear weapon or biological and/or chemical weapon can and will kill thousands of people. Some estimate that if a major city is attacked that we will lose not thousands but at least one hundred thousand citizens. Atlanta could easily be targeted.

The President has a daunting task, an awesome responsibility. Every decision that he and his advisors make from this point on is critical to our society as we know it today. Our Congress needs to, and must, support President Bush. He needs your help.

Make it a point today to call your legislators in Washington as well as their local offices and tell them to be the statesmen we elected them to be. It takes real guts to stand up in situations that are so volatile and so potentially destructive.

We must "rally the troops!"

It's lonely at the top
