Clayton County coach accused of sexual assault with student

RIVERDALE - A Clayton County teacher and track coach is on administrative leave after being charged with the sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl. <br>

County schools spokesman Paul Kraack says Terry Beckham -- a teacher at Riverdale High School -- is accused of fondling the girl in his office in May. <br>
<br>
Beckham has denied the allegation. <br>
<br>
School officials say they learned of the accusation last month and told Riverdale police. <br>
<br>
He was charged this week. <br>
<br>
The girl was not in Beckham's classes. He has been track coach for two years. <br>
<br>
Kraack says he does not know whether the girl was on the track team.
