EASTMAN - Two young brothers died in a fire that authorities said may have started by their playing with a cigarette lighter in the bedroom of their mobile home.
Mitchell Miller, 5, and 2-year-old Tristen Taylor Johns died in the blaze that started Tuesday night in the top bunk of their beds, Dodge County sheriff's Capt. Willie Holton said.
``We speculated that they were playing with fire, probably a cigarette lighter,'' Holton said.
Cochran police Sgt. Jeff Trawick, the boyfriend of the children's mother, suffered second- and third-degree burns trying to save them.
He was airlifted to the Augusta Burn Center, but was doing well and is expected to fully recover, said Jon Thrower, Cochran's acting police chief.
