Lewis could be heading for a college post

ASHBURN, VIRGINIA - Washington Redskins defensive coordinator Marvin Lewis is reportedly interested in the head football coaching job at Michigan State University. The Washington Post says Lewis could interview for the post as early as this week. <br>

Lewis declined comment after Sunday's loss to the New York Giants. Washington head coach Steve Spurrier also deflected any questions about Lewis' possible departure. <br>

Lewis is the NFL's highest paid assistant coach.
