ATLANTA - Georgians can go online and vote on the design of the next wildlife license plate.
Beth Brown with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources says voters can pick from five new designs for the new tag and from four designs for the Bobwhite Quail Initiative.
Officials hope to pick the design for the new tags in early January.

They include: A bald eagle with an American flag behind it; a bald eagle sitting in a pine snag; a humming bird with Trumpet Creeper; a blue heron in a river with spider lilies; a loggerhead sea turtle.

The current wildlife plates have raised more than $12,000 for non-game wildlife projects in Georgia.

Both of the wildlife license plates will be on sale at county tag offices for a $15 fee.
The fee funds a number of projects, including the purchase endangered species habitats, environmentally sensitive wetlands, aquatic ecosystems and longleaf pine/wire grass areas.
