Brother arrested in sister's fatal shooting

DECATUR - A DeKalb County man was charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of his 14-year-old sister, police said. <br> <br> Kenneth Shepherd, 24, was arrested late Thursday. His sister, Elizabeth Burgess, was found shot to death earlier at her home. <br> <br> The teenager lived with her mother and her uncle. She was the youngest of several children. <br> <br> Neighbors said they heard gunshots and called 911, according to police. Authorities said the teen&#39;s death was the result of a domestic dispute. <br> <br> The girl&#39;s mother, a truck driver, was not at home when the shooting happened. Police said the mother found out when she got home about 10 p.m.
