ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE - Officials say up to 22-hundred jobs in the Air Force Materiel Command could be cut over the next seven years -- although that number may change.
The possible job cuts include about 240 at Robins Air Force Base.
The Macon Telegraph reported in Sunday's editions that the figure could rise or fall depending on budgets, national policy decisions and approval by senior officers. The newspaper cited Air Force officials.
The Air Force had previously acknowledged potential job cuts through 2004, but now says more cuts may be on the horizon through 2009. The materiel command includes 13 bases.
