Woman, 18, given life sentence for role in 2000 murder

MARIETTA - A Marietta woman has been sentenced to life in prison Tuesday for an armed robbery and murder that happened when she was 15. <br> <br> Starsha Scott is 18 now. She was also sentenced to an additional 15 years. She&#39;ll become the seventh female her age or younger sentenced to the Georgia prison system for life. <br> <br> Scott was convicted September 25 of participating in the May 10, 2000, robbery of a Cobb County Citgo gas station. <br> <br> Ejaz Rana -- the gas station&#39;s manager -- was killed during the robbery. <br> <br> Scott&#39;s cousin -- Melvin Dwayne Cooper -- pleaded guilty to murder and armed robbery and testified in Scott&#39;s trial. <br> <br> In Georgia, anyone 13 years old or older can be tried for murder as an adult.
