Atlanta driving behaviors to be studied

ATLANTA - A new Georgia Tech study will delve into the driving behaviors and patterns in metro Atlanta. <br> <br> Researchers at Georgia Tech are wiring 1,600 cars of Atlanta drivers with computers and satellite communications gear. <br> <br> Those cars will be tracked, second by second, for the next two-to-three years. <br> <br> The study will track the drivers&#39; acceleration, speed, mileage, wrecks and braking patterns. It will also record the sexes and ages of the drivers, who have also been asked to keep a diary of their driving activity.
