Bargains aplenty as post-Christmas shoppers return to stores

ATLANTA - Bargain-hunters flooded Georgia stores Thursday to look for deep post-Christmas discounts. <br> <br> Retailers hope the shoppers will make up for weak sales so far during the holiday season. <br> <br> Rich&#39;s department store in Atlanta&#39;s Lenox Square Mall was offering up to 70 percent off on many items. <br> <br> Store manager Mike Tansey says customers began packing in when the doors opened at 7 a.m. <br> <br> He says sales leading up to Christmas were brisk for the most part, though there were some soft patches. <br> <br> The discounts at Rich&#39;s were too much to pass up for Marilyn Bridges of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. <br> <br> She says she already bought all of her gifts for relatives, but waited to shop for herself until after the holiday. <br> <br> Bridges got the same thing she gets every year -- panties. <br> <br> She found them marked down by half.
