La Raza arrives in Georgia

GAINESVILLE - A Hispanic activist organization has set up shop in Atlanta - more than a year after promising that it was locate an office in Georgia. <br> <br> The National Council of La Raza will monitor Latino issues in several southeastern states including Georgia, Alabama, and the Carolinas, which have all seen a mushrooming Hispanic population in recent years. <br> <br> One of the first issues La Raza will address from its Atlanta office will be an assessment of the health needs of Hispanics in the Southeast.
