Auburn destroys Southern Miss.

AUBURN - Marquis Daniels scored 21 points and Derrick Bird added 16 as Auburn defeated Southern Miss 92-46 Monday night. <br> <br> Marco Killingsworth added 14 points for the Tigers (10-2). Nathan Watson had nine points on 3-of-4 shooting from 3-point range. <br> <br> Southern Miss (6-4) was led by Greg Johnson with 13 points. Clement Carter added nine. <br> <br> Auburn used a 14-4 run to build a 31-18 lead with 5:00 left in the first half, then stretched the lead to 39-25 at the break. The Tigers opened the second period with a 24-5 burst to ice the game. <br> <br> Auburn forced the Golden Eagles into 21 turnovers and held them to 29.8 percent shooting for the game. The Tigers shot 64.9 percent for the game, including 9-of-16 3-pointers. <br> <br> It was the largest margin of victory in the 13-game series, which Auburn leads 12-1.
