Air Tran returns to gate after man has argument over cell phone

ATLANTA - Federal officials said a passenger on a New York-bound flight was arrested Friday after arguing with a flight attendant who had asked him to turn off his cell phone. <br> <br> The FBI said William Archie Brown, Junior of Atlanta was arrested on suspicion of interference with a flight crew. <br> <br> FBI Special Agent Jeff Holmes said Brown was released on bond Friday afternoon and scheduled for a preliminary hearing on November 26 before U.S. Magistrate Judge Christopher Hagy. <br> <br> The 55-year-old Brown was on board AirTran Airways Flight 364, which was scheduled to leave Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport for LaGuardia Airport in New York at about 11 a.m. <br> <br> Officials said before takeoff, a flight attendant asked Brown repeatedly to turn off his cellphone but Brown refused and continued to talk on it. <br> <br> The FBI said the flight attendant asked him again and Brown ``became verbally abusive to the flight attendant,&#39;&#39; who reported the incident to the captain of the plane. <br> <br> The captain aborted the flight and the plane returned to the gate, where Brown was taken into custody by FBI agents.
