Texas Southern whips Clark Atlanta

HOUSTON, TEXAS - Timothy Boutte ran for 80 yards and a touchdown and Joseph Jermaine added 90 yards rushing as Texas Southern beat Clark Atlanta 26-3 Saturday. <br> <br> Boutte scored on a 2-yard run in the first quarter as TSU (4-6, 3-3 Southwestern Athletic Conference) built a 10-3 halftime lead. <br> <br> Clark (2-8, 1-6) kept things close, trailing 13-3 heading into the fourth quarter. <br> <br> But Cortez Hantkon caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from Gerred Lunnon early in the fourth quarter and John James scored on a 4-yard run about five minutes later to make the score 26-3. <br> <br> Clark was held to just 105 yards. Three Clark quarterbacks combined to complete two of 10 passes for 19 yards. <br> <br> Brando Kaigler led Clark with 49 yards on 12 carries.
