Kirkpatrick steps down at Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE - Donnie Kirkpatrick will not return as football coach at Chattanooga. The school announced his decision Tuesday. <br> <br> He will finish out the season, coaching the final two games against East Tennessee State and Furman. He is 9-23 in his three seasons, including a 1-and-9 mark this year. <br> <br> Athletic director Steve Sloan says Kirkpatrick will be reassigned within the university after the season.
