Turner called suspect in Forsyth County death

MARIETTA - For the first time since they launched their investigation almost two years ago, authorities have identified a Cumming woman as their prime suspect in the death of the man who fathered her two children, Forsyth County firefighter Randy Thompson.

A GBI agent pointed the finger at Lynn Turner of Cumming Wednesday during a bond hearing for Turner, who is charged with killing her husband in Cobb County in 1995 under similar circumstances.

The judge was also told he would be a flight risk, but, her attorney, Jimmy Berry, disagreed:

"Obviously someone being charged with this kind of crime would be depressed." Berry says. " But I feel confident that we are not going to have a problem with that."

Turner was charged Nov. 1 with murder in the 1995 death of Cobb County police Officer Maurice Glenn Turner.
