Griffin man arrested in slaying of restaurant manager

GRIFFIN - A Griffin man was arrested Tuesday in the Nov. 6 shooting death of the manager of a Krystal Restaurant in College Park. <br> <br> Tyra Dale Lane, 22, will be charged with murder in the death of Danielle Simpson, 26, of College Park, police Cpl. Felita Morgan said. <br> <br> Simpson was shot during a robbery attempt, Morgan said, while she was was working for an employee. <br> <br> Lane, who once worked at Krystal, also is accused of assaulting employee Austin Young, 28, of East Point and locking him in a freezer. <br> <br> Fulton County police Lt. David Childs said Lane faces charges of aggravated assault, felony murder, armed robbery and false imprisonment. <br> <br> Childs said the robber, armed with a shotgun, escaped with a small amount of cash and rolled coins. ``The cash register drawer was lying at the victim&#39;s feet full of cash,&#39;&#39; he said.
