Georgia Bureau of Investigation Agent John Cagle Saturday morning said Cheyenne Junior Frady, 34, was arrested in Lumpkin County Friday night without incident. Cagle didn't immediatly know where in Lumpkin County the arrest occurred.
Agents found Frady's son, Cheyenne Jesse James Frady, 16, at about 4:00 p.m. Friday in Gainesville. He was taken into custody without incident at a restaurant the GBI declined to identify.
A Pickens County man was killed with a crossbow Friday morning and authorities began the manhunt for the Dawson County father and son.
Pickens County Sheriff's Captain Allen Wigington said Cheyenne Junior Frady, and William Farmer, 24, were involved in a dispute over a woman when the 2:00 a.m. murder happened.
"Farmer was at the home of a former girlfriend, who I understand to be the current girlfriend of Cheyenne Junior Frady," Wigington said. "At some point during the argument Cheyenne Jesse James Frady fired a crossbow at and struck William Daniel Farmer in the chest."
Farmer died at the scene.
The younger Frady is charged with murder. The older Frady faces charges related to being an alleged party to the crime. Both men were expected to be returned to Pickens County to face the charges.
Cheyenne Junior Frady has a criminal history. He was convicted in 1998 of child molestation in Dawson County.
He was released this past July from prison.
