MIAMI - Junior Matias scored 19 points and Eulis Baez added 13, as Florida International pulled away in the second half for a 60-52 victory over Morris Brown in the first round of the FIU Tip-Off Tournament. <br> <br> Florida International (1-0) held Morris Brown to one field goal over a 10:34 stretch of the second half, building as much as a 16-point second-half lead. The game was tied at 26 at halftime. <br> <br> Florida International enjoyed a huge differential at the foul line over Morris Brown, converting on 31 of their 44 free-throw attempts. Morris Brown, which did not get to the foul line until 12:05 remained in the contest, was just 7-for-13 from the stripe. <br> <br> Anthony Adams had 18 points and Reshard Alonza scored 11 for Morris Brown (0-1), which shot 25 percent from the field in the second half. <br> <br> Al Harris and Nikola Novakovic each scored 11 for Florida International, which won its sixth straight season-opener. <br> <br> Iona and Florida International will meet in the tournament&#39;s championship game Sunday afternoon.
