Seven students injured when bus rear-ended

UNION CITY - Eleven students have been taken to hospitals after a tractor-trailer rear-ended their school bus in Union City in south Fulton County Monday morning. <br> <br> The students were being taken to Creekside High School when the truck hit the bus about 8 a.m. <br> <br> A total of 23 students were on the bus when it was hit. Eight of the injured were taken to Fayette Community Hospital and three were taken to Southern Regional Medical Center. <br> <br> One teenage girl will be held overnight at Southern Regional said hospital spokeswoman Yolanda James. Two 15-year-old males were treated for minor injuries and released. <br> <br> Seven students and the bus driver were taken to Fayette Community Hospital. One student has been treated and released with another pending release. Hospital spokeswoman Ryan Duffy says the other students are being treated for minor injuries. <br> <br> The students were being taken to Creekside High School when the tractor-trailer hit the bus on Georgia 138.
