Sailors plead guilty to rape

EVERETT, WASHINGTON - Two sailors from the carrier Abraham Lincoln pleaded guilty in Everett to third-degree child rape. <br> <br> They entered the pleas Thursday after Snohomish County prosecutors threatened to upgrade the charges before the trial that had been scheduled for next week. <br> <br> Their defense lawyer says they didn&#39;t know the girl they had sex with in July was only 14 years old. <br> <br> The two -- 22-year-old Keith Martin Jones of Copiague, New York and 20-year-old Leroy Lamar Holt of Folkston, Georgia -- face about a year behind bars when they are sentenced November 26. <br> <br> A third sailor -- 19-year-old Raymond Amanosi Odidi (of Brentwood, New York) -- entered a similar plea earlier and is scheduled to be sentenced at the same time. <br> <br> The three also face discharge from the Navy. <br> <br> Prosecutors say the three all engaged in sex with the girl, who was among a group of teens drinking at a south Everett motel. <br> <br> The girl was seriously injured and underwent emergency surgery to stop bleeding.
