Man convicted of buying guns in Georgia, reselling up north

STATESBORO - A drifter who split his time between Atlanta and New York was convicted Monday of buying guns in Georgia then taking them north to be sold in New York. <br>

James Earl Wiggins was convicted for buying 11 guns from south Georgia pawn shops and then taking them to New York state without a license. Two of the firearms have been recovered in crimes in Rochester, New York. <br>
<br>
The 37-year-old Wiggins faces up to ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine. A sentencing date has not been set.
