Right now, the course, being taught at North Hall High School, involves course work and a driving simulator. But, Panoz Racing School, which is based at Road Atlanta in Braselton, has told the school system's task force on teen driving it is interested in taking the course to the next level.
"They're putting together a proposal that they're going to submit back to the task force," Brown said.
The program at present deals only in course work and simulated driving situations. "So, the next logical step would be to get them out behind the wheel and doing some safety things and learning to handle the car in a road situation," said Brown.
