LORMAN, Miss. - Donald Carrie threw for 136 yards and Andrew Burks scored on a 1-yard touchdown run to lead Alcorn State to a 10-7 win over Fort Valley State Saturday night.<br> <br> Fort Valley State (4 (2)- jumped to a 7-0 lead on Duron Croson&#39;s 5-yard run in the first quarter, but could manage just 128 yards of offense on the night.<br> <br> Burks scored on a 9-play, 37-yard drive in the second quarter. David McConnell added a 35-yard field goal in the same period to cap the scoring.<br> <br> Courtney Young caught 3 passes for 32 yards for Alcorn State 4 (1)-. Albert Jones had 19 yards on 4 carries.<br> <br> Alcorn State totaled 202 yards on offense.<br> <br> Cecil Lester was 6-of-22 passing for 28 yards for Fort Valley. Croson lead the ground attack with 99 yards on 24 carries.<br>
