MCDONOUGH - Henry County police say a 24-year-old Griffin man admitted to strangling a woman at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Detectives detailed what they described as a confession from Toby Dearing during a hearing.

Magistrate Wesley Shannon bound over the charges against Dearing and his brother - 20-year-old Joshua Dearing - to Superior Court after the hearing Wednesday.

The younger brother is charged with hindering the apprehension or punishment of a criminal.

Allison Alvarez, 19, of Duluth was missing for four days after she went to a restroom at the race track at Hampton during a car show.

Her body was found September 25th in a grandstand.

Detective Rene Swanson testified that Toby Dearing - who worked for a track vendor - said he thought Alvarez was a prostitute, offered her a ride in a golf cart and took her to a private suite.
