VALDOSTA - Buster Faulkner overcame seven sacks to pass for 297 yards and three touchdowns, leading unbeaten Valdosta State to a 45-17 victory over Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday. <br>

Faulkner, who completed 19 of 26 passes, connected with three different receivers on the scoring passes as the Blazers (6-0, 4-0 Gulf South Conference) had little trouble with the Boll Weevils (2-3, 2-2) after two first-quarter scoring runs of 61 yards by Aaron Jenkins and 56 yards by Tyrone Robinson. <br>

Faulkner's scoring passes covered 35 yards to Bama Adams, 69 yards to C.J. Lofton and 36 yards to Dantra Clements. <br>
<br>
Monticello's Fred Leonard completed 25 of 47 passes for 412 yards and two scores both to Shamar Brown covering 7 and 23 yards.
