MCDONOUGH - A Griffin man accused of strangling a 19-year-old woman at the Atlanta Motor Speedway last month has been denied bond.
Toby Dearing, 24, remained in jail Monday after a Henry County judge ruled he could be a flight risk or pose a threat.
Dearing is charged with the death of Alisson Alvarez, who reportedly disappeared Sept. 21 at a car show in Hampton. Henry County authorities said her body was discovered in a bleacher area that had been closed off during the event. Alvarez's boyfriend said she had gone to a bathroom before being abducted.
Josh Dearing, 20, is charged with helping his brother conceal the body.
