VALDOSTA - Two brothers from Missouri face drug charges after deputies discovered a methamphetamine lab in a tractor-trailer stopped Wednesday on Interstate 75.

Lowndes County sheriff's officers said they also found more than a pound of psilocybin mushrooms, a marijuana pipe and a syringe filled with methamphetamines in the truck driven by James Roy Carroll of Osceola, Mo.

Carroll, 39, was charged with possession of psilocybin. Bobby Eugene Carroll, 38, also of Osceola, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamines, possession of methamphetamines and possession of psilocybin, the sheriff's office said.

Sheriff Ashley Paulk said Bobby Carroll is under indictment for drug charges in Missouri and could be extradited.

Deputies said they pulled over the northbound tractor-trailer about 16 miles north of the Florida line because of missing rear mud flaps and reflective strips.

Deputy Matthew Bradshaw estimated up to 2.5 ounces of methamphetamine could have been manufactured with the amount of chemicals in the truck. The lab had recently been in use, Bradshaw said, because some of the equipment was still moist and the smell of chemicals was strong.
