Dawson mayor arrested on DUI charge

DAWSON - Dawson Mayor Robert Albritten was charged Sunday with driving under the influence after an accident that sent a woman to the hospital. <br> <br> The 60-year-old already faces 19 counts of insurance fraud and nine counts of forgery from an arrest in August. <br> <br> Albritten is trying for re-election November fifth. He has been mayor since 1991 of Dawson, a town of 5,500 in Terrell County. <br> <br> Albritten recorded a .16 blood alcohol content following Sunday&#39;s accident. <br> <br> Carolyn Griggs was hospitalized with minor injuries. <br> <br> District attorney&#39;s office officials declined comment Monday.
