Woman sentenced in road rage case

APPLING - A Martinez woman has been sentenced to three years in prison in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Columbia County man. Police said he was a victim of road rage. <br> <br> Columbia County Superior Court Judge Carl C. Brown Jr. sentenced Tammy Melissa Lonergan to 10 years - three to be served in prison and seven on probation. <br> <br> Lonergan and her former husband, Brian Lonergan, were charged with murder in the 2001 death of Joshua Hadden, 22, of Thomson. <br> <br> The jury found her guilty of false imprisonment and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime. <br> <br> Hadden was stabbed during a fight with Brian Lonergan alongside Interstate 20 near the Grovetown exit. <br> <br> Brian Lonergan, 29, was found guilty of murder and numerous misdemeanor offenses. He will be sentenced at a later date.
