A U.S. Coast Guard search and rescue boat and helicopter were trying to find 36-year-old Ken Ketterman, who was last seen aboard the rear of a rented 19-foot boat on Sunday morning near the Perdido Pass Bridge.
Ketterman, of Chicksaw, Ala., was out for a ride with his wife and young son when they discovered he was no longer in the boat, said Lt. Erica Shippman of the Alabama Marine Police.
