Police identify pilot in Gwinnett County crash

ATLANTA - Police have identified the pilot who was killed when his single-engine plane crashed into a residential neighborhood in Lilburn. <br> <br> John Danforth Browne of Odessa, Florida, was one of two men killed in separate small-plane crashes Saturday afternoon. <br> <br> Fifty-three-year-old Jerry Wilburn, of Ormond Beach, Florida, also died after his single-engine Cessna 210 crashed in the Chicopee Nature Center near Gainesville. <br> <br> Both men were piloting the same kind of plane. <br> <br> Gwinnett County police Corporal Ray Dunlap said a flight plan showed Browne was headed home to Florida when his plane came down in the yard of a private home. <br> <br> No one on the ground was injured in either crash. <br> <br> Authorities with the National Transportation Safety Board were examining the wreckage of both planes yesterday. Butch Wilson, of the NTSB, said it will take investigators one or two weeks to identify the cause of the crashes.
