Rev. C.C. Cloud remembered

GAINESVILLE - Funeral services are scheduled Saturday for the retired longtime pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Gainesville. <br> <br> Rev. C.C. Cloud died New Year&#39;s Day at his home in Decatur at the age of 86, less than a month after he retired. <br> <br> During his 14-year tenure at Antioch, Rev. Cloud forged a sister-church relationship between Antioch, a mostly-black church, and the mostly-white First Baptist on Green Street, whose pastor is Dr. Bill Coates.<br> <br> Dr. Coates remembers Rev. Cloud as &#34;a wonderful influence in our community, such a fresh spirit that I really enjoyed being around him and especially enjoyed worshipping with him.&#34;<br> <br> Rev. Cloud spent 72 years in the ministry.<br> <br> Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church.<br> <br>
