Woman killed by freight train

FOLKSTON -A woman was killed when she was struck by a CSX freight train at the Bowery Lane rail crossing in this southeast Georgia town, officials said. <br> <br> The woman, who was not immediately identified, had just left a convenience store Monday and was walking on the street when she saw the train, said CSX spokeswoman Susan Keegan. <br> <br> ``They (witnesses) said she ran in an attempt to beat the train but was unable to,&#39;&#39; Keegan said. <br> <br> The train originated in Irwin, Tenn. and was en route to Augusta. <br> <br>
