KENNESAW - Seven people including a bus driver were treated for minor injuries Tuesday night after a Chicago-bound Greyhound left the highway, ran up and down an embankment and into a ditch, authorities said.
The bus carrying 36 passengers was about 20 miles northwest of Atlanta on Interstate 75 when the driver apparently started choking on a sandwich, one passenger said.
Two other buses were dispatched to the scene one to carry those passengers who wished to travel on to Nashville, Louisville and Chicago and the other to return remaining passengers to Atlanta.
``We ended up in a big panic, with the bus flipping back and forth,'' passenger Lerone Phelps said.
Jerome Mitchell said he was knocked to the floor of the bus, and the driver told him he was choking and asked Mitchell to hit him on the back.
``He did say that he had had a sandwich, or something, and was choking,'' Mitchell told WSB-TV.
