ATLANTA - Some proposed changes for the states budget could lessen the time it takes to get a drivers license in Gainesville.

Govenor Roy Barnes has proposed dedicating $2.8 million to add to license facilities in Gwinnett and Delkalb, Fulton and Cobb counties.

Should this pass, many drivers who travel to Gainesville to avoid Gwinnett's up to seven hour waiting lines, will have another option.

Last year, Gainesville issued most licenses than any other place in Georgia.
