"Tsunami" wins Gainesville spelling bee

GAINESVILLE - The winner of this year's Gainesville School System Spelling Bee is middle school eighth-grader Ross Mooney. <br>

Runnerup was Nick Tsikerdanos.<br>
<br>
About 30 students participated; the winning word was "Tsunami." <br>
<br>
The Hall County competition was held Tuesday.
