Woman kills husband, thinking he was intruder

AVONDALE ESTATES - DeKalb County police say a woman shot and killed her husband early Friday, thinking he was an intruder. <br> <br> Police say Andrew Hodges had gotten out of bed and was returning about 3 a.m. when his sleeping wife, 67-year-old Pate Hodges, awoke with a start and mistook him for an intruder. <br> <br> Pate Hodges grabbed a nearby handgun and fired once in the direction of her 55-year-old husband. Andrew Hodges died within minutes.
