Towns, Jefferson win

A light schedule on the northeast Georgia prep scene Wednesday evening.<br>

On the hardwood, Riverside could not hold a fourth quarter lead at home, and Towns County kept the Eagles winless in boys' basketball, 59-53.<br>
<br>
Riverside (0-10) put three boys in double figures: John Hsu (16); Marc Santiago (15); and Bart Mayers (12).<br>
<br>
Towns, which hit 11-of-15 fourth quarter free throws, was led by Robbie Elliot with 19 and Bruce Parpin with 14.<br>
<br>
On the wrestling mat, host Jefferson had little trouble with AA Lumpkin County 57-18.<br>
<br>
The Dragons are top rated in single-A with a 13-1 record. Their only loss came January 9th against the number two ranked team in 5-A, Parkview.<br>
<br>
Jefferson, which has won all six tournaments the Dragons have entered this season, won 11 of the 14 weight classes Wednesday night.<br>
