Funeral for Cherokee teen scheduled

CANTON - The funeral for a 15-year-old Cherokee County High School student killed when he fell from the back of a truck after school will be held Saturday. <br> <br> The service for Josh Reider of Canton will be at noon at Hickory Flat United Methodist Church. Viewing will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Huey Funeral Home in Canton. <br> <br> Canton police say the teen-ager was killed Tuesday when he was riding with a load of lockers in the bed of the pickup. They say speed bumps sent the lockers and Josh crashing to the asphalt. <br> <br> He died of his injuries at Northside Hospital-Cherokee. <br> <br> Police say a 17-year-old was driving the truck. No charges have been filed. <br> <br> The two were moving the lockers from the school to nearby Boling Park. <br> <br> Josh was a member of the school baseball team.
