Three students from Atlanta charged with murder

SALISBURY, NORTH CAROLINA - Six Livingstone College students -- three from the Atlanta area -- charged with murder in the shooting death of a 21-year-old student from nearby Catawba College appeared in front of a judge Monday. <br> <br> Five of the students told Rowan County Superior Court Judge Charlie Brown they wanted a court-appointed attorney. The sixth, Isaac Lamon Brazeal, said he would hire his own attorney. <br> <br> A probable cause hearing is scheduled for February 6, and the Rowan County grand jury will meet February fourth to consider the charges. <br> <br> The six will be held without bond until the next hearing. <br> <br> Darris Morris was killed Friday night. He and other Catawba students attending a dorm party argued with some students from nearby Livingstone College. The reason for the argument isn&#39;t clear. <br> <br> The others charged are: 19-year-old Ricardo Battle of Stone Mountain; 19-year-old Terrence Austin of Atlanta; 20-year-old Morris Lee Brannon of Des Moines, Iowa; 19-year-old Karl Anthony Wilson of Atlanta; and Corey Peterson of Salisbury.
