An Oakwood man was arrested Thursday afternoon in the molestation of a young girl, according to the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
Alverto Luis Alejandre, 37, was charged with three counts of felony child molestation after a relative of the victim reported alleged wrongdoings to the Hall County Sheriff's Office Dec. 30, 2022.
"What our investigaition has uncovered so far is that the suspect, on at least three different occasions, inappropriately touched the victim. The victim is a young girl under the age of 16," Public Information Officer B.J. Williams with the HCSO said.
The investigation revealed the incidents happened between Feb. 1 and Christmas Eve last year. Alejandre and the victim knew one another and came in contact with each other from time to time, Williams said.
Alejandre remains in the Hall County Jail without bond. The case remains under investigation.
