Six arrested following a drug investigation in Lumpkin Co.

The Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office is hailing their investigator's efforts following a major drug bust last week.

According to a press release posted on the sheriff's office Facebook page, a search warrant led to deputies discovering large amounts of various drugs at a house on Dublin Court last Wednesday.

Investigators said they recovered "approximately 2,000 grams of methamphetamine, 347 grams of marijuana, approximately 1,800 oxycodone pills and multiple firearms were seized."

In this case, six people were arrested, Brandon Joshua Roberts, 31; Amanda Victoria Brannon, 24; Anthony Dustin Wenut, 34; Angela Samantha Jett, 49, all of Lumpkin County. Deputies also took Christopher Gage Lee, 29, of Dawson County, and Michael Carlton Rider, 35, of Hall County into custody.

According to the sheriff's office, a Department of Corrections K9 and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) helped execute the search warrant.

"I would like to thank all the employees that were involved in this investigation for the great work they do to keep our community safe," Lumpkin County Sheriff Stacy M. Jarrard said on Facebook.
