Gainesville Police have arrested a man in a rape case earlier this month.
Laquan Deslea Lipscomb was arrested Wednesday morning in connection to the case, according to a spokesperson for the agency. The case was initially reported on August 7 and the victim knew Lipscomb. Warrants were sought Tuesday.
Lipscomb has been charged with rape, aggravated sexual battery, sodomy, and aggravated sodomy.
