A new park in Sugar Hill is beginning to take shape. The design plans for the 22-acre park off Cumming Highway were just released for the pavilion building and restroom area. The park is being constructed between the Arbor Close neighborhood and Sugar Ridge Drive.
According to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, the design is consistent with the historic elements of the property.
The lower pond will also be entirely rebuilt to ensure safe operation for recreational use. There will also be a parking lot, walking paths and more. The work started in 2017, but the latest designs were based on community input.
