One killed, others injured in Lumpkin Co. multi-vehicle crash

A three-vehicle accident in Lumpkin County resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries on Saturday afternoon.

Although details are limited,  Lt. Alan Roach with the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office said the accident occurred on Longbranch Road, located in the greater Dahlonega area.

The accident resulted in the roadway being shut down for a time, and the case was eventually turned over to the Georgia State Patrol for further investigation.

No identities have been released at this time.
