Starting Monday, May 10 at 8.pm., Green Street will be reduced from four lanes to two lanes as the Gainesville Department of Water Resources continues maintenance on the city's underground water system.
DWR will shut down both southbound lanes from Washington Street to Ridgewood Avenue, shifting traffic intto the two open northbound lanes. The closure will only last until 2 a.m. Tuesday.
Water service will also be interrupted for around 12 customers on the west side of Green Street between the streets identified above.
