White County home 'total loss' after Monday fire

A White County home was declared a total loss after a Monday evening fire. 

According to a press release from White County Public Safety, units with White County Fire, the City of Cleveland and Lee Arrendale Fire Brigade responded to a 3,000 square foot home at 3389 US 129s which was about 70 percent involved. 

A 100-gallon propane tank which had vented was also on fire when units arrived.

Fire crews set up a defensive attack and remained at the home for about six hours.

No injuries were reported, and the fire is currently under investigation. 

The owners of the home did not need Red Cross assistance, according to the release.
