A Cumming man was arrested after he attempted to meet with an underage child.
On March 18, Heriberto Ledezma Gonzalez traveled to Dawsonville with the intent of having sexual relations with a child under the age of 16. However, instead of meeting the victim, he was met by Dawson County Sheriff’s Office Investigators.
According to a Facebook post from the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, Gonzalez was also in possession of suspected methamphetamine at the time of his arrest.
Gonzalez is charged with criminal attempt to commit child molestation and possession of a controlled substance. He remains in the Dawson County Jail.
